My name is Scutaru Cristina and I’m a 23 years old girl from Medias. My hometown is part of the Sibiu county and very close to the Sibiu city which 2 years ago was the Cultural Capital of Europe together with Luxembourg.
I live very close to Dracula Castle as well, which is part of Transylvania.
Here in Romania I live with my parents, my mother Rodica is 48 years old and she’s an excellent housekeeper, while my father Gheorghe 53 years old is just retired from his job.
I also have a brother, Cristian 28 years old which is working in Cyprus as a waiter.
While at home, I regularly help my mother with cooking and housework.
Among my interests I would mention music, sport (football, basketball, cycling...), going out, reading, and travelling. Most of my friends would characterize me as a friendly, communicative, sociable, trustworthy, dynamic and open minded person.
Since November 2007 I’ve started to work for a family in England (Dorset), as an au-pair till recently.
Looking back I could say that these 2 years of experience were the best of my life.
I’ve always had a special affect for children and during the last 2 years, I’ve got enjoyed so much working with Aimee (aged 6) and Adam (aged 8) from Dorset, South England.
While the parents were working, the kids remained on my care. Among my duties I would mention that I was preparing the meals, playing with them, taking them outside for a walk, dropping off and picking up from school with the bus as well as other light house work activities.
From this life experience I learned to be more responsible and independent. Last but not least, I find this experience of childcare, cooking and housekeeping very helpful for the future.
The reason I have chosen again the UK for my au pair or mother’s help experience is that I have a special affect for this nation, its people and culture.
I hope to meet you soon!

To whom it may concern re: Miss Cristina Scutaru.
Cristina has been my family’s Au-pair since November 2007. We first decided to have an au-pair due to increasing child care costs and workload demands.
Throughout the time that Cristina has been with us, she has been extremely hardworking, trustworthy, helpful and efficient. The majority of her workload is centred on caring for the children, Adam 8 and Aimee 6, whilst my husband and I are at work. The three of them have built a very tight bond and care for one another immensely.
She has learnt to be firm, but caring at the same time. Her other light household duties are done to a high standard and is a great help to me.
Cristina has become like one of the family; she is able to anticipate our family’s needs, where quite often she has prepared and cooked the evening meal when we returned home from work exhausted, and the children quite often referred to her as their "big" sister.
As a family unit, we will greatly miss Cristina when she returns home.
We have found a friend for life and hope to visit her and her family in Romania.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Cristina as an Au-pair to anyone, as our loss is someone else’s again.
Nicky Jaynoy (Mother).

English text transcript:
We are the Cerghizan family and we live in Medias. We have a seven years old girl and we have asked Scutaru Crsitina to sit with our daughter when we were not at home and we must say we've been quite pleased with her.
She is a girl that becomes very quickly attached to the children. She is quiet, honest, we have never had any problems with her. We've always asked her to come as a babysitter with trust and confidence. We loved her very much and especially our daughter loves her quite dearly.
Among the things she had to do were to get our daughter dressed, to feed her, to take her in the park and play. We've also been very pleased to see how she was keeping the house clean and tidy.
We would highly recommend her for an au pair position and we are confident she will honour her contract successfully.
